Duties Description Manhattan Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Social Work Supervisor 1 LCSW to function as the Director of Patient Experience.
The Director of Patient Experience plays an essential role in shaping the ongoing experience and overall satisfaction of Creedmoor Psychiatric Center patients, center wide, transforming culture through the development of programs, methods, and initiatives to drive quality and service excellence continually enhancing the patient/client and family experience. This position involves strategizing and implementing policies that improve the quality of care from the patient/client perspective, ensuring that their needs and preferences are considered. By fostering a culture of compassion, empathy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement, the Director of Patient Experience works closely with the executive team as well as department leaders, staff, and patients/clients to create and operationalize strategy and organizational goals. As a conduit between Creedmoor Psychiatric Center and patients/clients the Director of Patient Experience assists in the resolution of patient/client concerns related to their care serves as a neutral party employing skills of active listening, developing trust and confidence, and displaying professionalism. Through their leadership, they aim to not only meet but to exceed patient/client and family expectations, contributing to the overall reputation and success of Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. This position requires a full-time Office of Mental Health (OMH) employee who will be dedicated to develop and implement comprehensive patient/client experience strategies that align with Creedmoor Psychiatric Center’s mission, vision, and values, ensuring a consistent and high-quality patient-centered care environment. This position will interact, consult and collaborate with executive leadership, clinical and administrative departments to integrate patient experience best practices into daily operations, ensuring that patient care processes are patient-centered, smooth, efficient and highly reliable processes that foster optimal service excellence and a culture of safety and transparency.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Social Work Supervisor 1 LCSW eligible list.
OR
Candidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have 1 year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
OR
Candidates within State Service can be considered for provisional appointment if they have:
• 1 year of permanent service as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
OR
• 1 year of permanent service as a Licensed Master Social Worker and license and current registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York Stat.
Note: If appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled Civil Service examination for this title and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained.

Additional Comments:
Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 25 ($93,530), Geographic Pay Differential ($18,000), and and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000). The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($117,875), Geographic Pay Differential ($18,000), and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000).

1. In order to be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program). If you are appointed and subsequently listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of these lists (or excluded from any other Federal or federally-assisted program), you may be terminated from your employment.
2. If appointed you may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider; obtain and provide to your employer a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number issued by the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPES); and otherwise actively participate to the degree necessary to allow for your services to be billed through Medicare and Medicaid. If you are appointed and you lose the ability to bill through Medicaid and Medicare, you may be terminated from your employment.
3. Continued employment as a Social Work Supervisor 1 (LCSW) is dependent upon current licensure and registration by New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Loss of licensure and registration may result in removal from employment.
