Duties Description • Inventory and Prepare Batches for Deposit
o Reviews incoming remittance to identify potential problems and enter identifying information into tracking database. Batches appropriate checks together, completes necessary paperwork to prepare for deposit and verifies accuracy of prepared batches.

• Process and Review Deposits
o Reviews checks and paperwork that are deposited into multiple banks and treasury accounts, then enters the information into tracking database. Arranges for bank and treasury deposits utilizing deposit procedures.

• Disposition Follow Up
o Follows up with the business unit to obtain disposition instructions and updates the RMS system accordingly.

• Review work for the Office of Unclaimed Funds
o Assist the OA 1 entering stocks and bonds received for OUF into the RMSOUF security database as necessary. Review remittances entered by OA 1 for accuracy.


• Training New Staff
o Train new staff on all aspects of the job as needed.

• Receive and log requests at Service Desk.
o General supervision of Office Assistant 1, ensuring Service Desk coverage guidance on work orders and any necessary follow-up or escalation of pending work orders. Ensure all incoming request for building services of other assistance are quickly and correctly recorded and work order generated.

• Communication with Customers
o Greet customers on phone or at walk up window to receive requests and field questions regarding all services provided by Office Services, including inventory, mail intake and process, room set, and request for delivery service. Handles non-standard requests or when escalated or requested by the customer.

• Work Order Tracking
o Ensure all outstanding work orders crated by the Office Assistant 1 are handled timely by assigned area. Follows up with appropriate area on any work orders pending beyond the normal expected timeframe to resolve issues and ensure completion
.
• OSC Identification Card Control System Administration and Agency Parking Liaison
o Works as agency liaison of OSC ID cards and parking. This includes tasks such as processing ID orders, troubleshooting ID issues as needed, adding and removing access to various locations with 110 State Street. As the agency parking liaison, you will be responsible for monitoring visitor parking requests, processing parking cancellation forms and submitting hang tags to Office of General Services. Assist supervisor with day-to-day activities that arise.

• One year of clerical experience.

Competitive Qualifications:
You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Transfer:
For 70.1 transfer to an Office Assistant 2, salary grade (SG)-09, you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55-b/55-c service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG-07 or above.
