Job Specifics

Duties Description ASSIGNMENT: Our Security Network Infrastructure team is hiring for a Checkpoint firewall engineer. The successful applicant should have extensive experience with planning, design, and implementation of Checkpoint Quantum and CloudGuard firewalls in a HA clustered environment. Administration of all aspects of Checkpoint firewalls (Smart Dashboard, CLI, scripting, backup) is required. Checkpoint certifications are a plus.

In-depth knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, subnetting, protocols) is required.
A strong background in network security principles is necessary for this position.
Network troubleshooting experience is required.
Experience in a Linux/Unix environment is desired. In addition to Checkpoint firewalls, knowledge of other security devices (Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco) would be beneficial. This position requires working independently as well as being able to collaborate on projects with other infrastructure and applications teams. Experience with multi-vendor VPN connections is helpful.

The position is in-person and requires occasional off-hours work for upgrades, implementations, and support of production issues.

BASE SALARY: $110,853
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment; or An equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment

JG-25 NETWORK/SYSTEM ENGINEER II
BASE SALARY: $94,386
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment; or An equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment
OR
JG-23 NETWORK/SYSTEM ENGINEER I
BASE SALARY: $84,659
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment; or An equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment
